How UFC Undisputed Could Revolutionize MMA

The moment that MMA fans have been waiting for is nearly here after almost 2 years of anticipation. THQ is expected to release the video game UFC Undisputed here within the next couple months. The release will mark the first such game to be released since 2004 so MMA fans will be dying to
get their hands on this one. The newest addition plans on becoming a yearly series similar to the Madden franchise with the NFL. In the eyes of the casual gamer or fan this could be seen as no big deal but in reality this could very well be huge in promoting the sport of MMA.

THQ Announces Final Roster

Well the game has nearly 80 fighters like they have been saying all along. There is good news and there is bad news. The good news is that there are several fighters in the game that you wouldnt expect including: Tito Ortiz, Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski and Mirko Crocop. Another round of good news is that certain fighters can fight at multiple weight classes. Anderson Silva is one of those fights so I can finally see Anderson Silva vs Lyoto Machida HOORAY!!!!

Now for the bad news in that several fighters you would expect to be on the game are not on the game including: Randy Couture, Clay Guida and Matt Hamill. The second round of bad news is that only a few fighters on the game can fight at multiple weight classes. Finally piling on more bad news is that some fighters may only be available via download exclusively from gaming markets. The word is that Ryan Bader and Efrain Escudero the winners from last season on TUF are only available via download if you buy the game from gamestop. I know its crazy.

Some of your favorite fighters like Matt Hughes, Michael Bisping and Kenny Florian are on the game.
